Dear Energy Healers,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our launch of the Charlottesville Healing Hub on September 23, 2026! Your insights, stories, and collaborative spirit made the time spent together such a pleasure. We missed those of you who were unable to attend this gathering. And a special thanks to our host, the Contemplative Sciences Center, and the center’s formidable team – Kelly Crace, Coco, Polina, and Abey.
The gathering focused on the formation and goals of the Subtle Energy Funders Collective (SEFC), a donor collaborative aiming to integrate energy healing into mainstream healthcare through rigorous research and training. Advisory board chair Jeff Walker presented evidence of the practice’s effectiveness from studies at Harvard and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Participants shared their personal backgrounds in the energy medicine arena of Reiki, Healing Touch, EFT, Barbara Brennan, medical intuition, and shamanic work, while sharing the industry challenges of isolation and burnout.
The session concluded with plans to develop a Charlottesville Healing Hub directory, gather healing stories, and establish regular future meeting schedules to maintain community connections.
As we create our local directory and library intake forms, we encourage you to share your healing stories with Phenomena.

PHENOMENA HEALING
OUR VISION
Everyone can be taught to use subtle energy to heal themselves. Energy healing connects the mind, body, and spirit to the larger energetic field around us. Across multiple traditions, energy healers serve as attuned channels for universal energy, using both hands-on and remote skills to support healing.
We are building a global movement of energy healers to provide healing services, train other healers around the world, and strengthen the credibility, understanding, and public demand for energy healing through rigorous research and visible storytelling.
WHY A HEALING HUB
To bring subtle energy healing to as many people as possible, we need an engaged, aligned, and scientifically-informed movement of healers who are locally empowered through place-based hubs and also network supported through global coordination and resourcing.
To achieve this, we are building a worldwide network of energy healers from multiple traditions – including Reiki, Healing Touch, Integrated Energy Therapy, Barbara Brennan, Medical Intuition, Qi Gong, Soul Focused Healing and more – who are unified in purpose rather than in a single modality.

HOW WE COLLABORATE
We seek to strengthen community and credibility by connecting skilled practitioners locally and globally, supporting peer-reviewed research, amplifying research findings, and creating opportunities for healers and scientists to co-design rigorous research.
We also aim to co-create systemic changes to help healers earn a sustainable wage through private pay, insurance reimbursement, and government models, while supporting integration of healers into clinics, hospitals, companies, and centers.
CONNECTING LOCAL HUBS TO A GLOBAL NETWORK
Each local hub is a community of healers who support one another, learn together, exchange referrals, and help identify what is needed to strengthen energy healing in their region and globally. Hubs connect through a wider network that is coordinated and resourced by SEFC & LightEn.
LOCAL HUBS
Recruit healers from various traditions within the local geography. Hold monthly gatherings for teaching, storytelling, camaraderie, and strategic planning.
Exchange best practices and shape shared priorities.
GLOBAL NETWORK
Share research, resources, and emerging opportunities. Connect healers, researchers, educators, and donors worldwide. Support initiatives that strengthen the field and expand access to healing.
